------------------------ He offered a grin and chuckle as she described her dog. He knew what she meant about being the dumbest at times, Mingo had a habit of beating his tail against hard objects so hard he’d swear it’d break. He would think thwacking your tail against a door frame or table leg would hurt after a few good smacks but apparently they didn’t or Mingo didn’t register the pain. He always had to direct the dog away from the object he was beating his tail on before it broke or busted open, neither of which were good out comes in his opinion. In Mingos defense though he mainly did this when he was excited to see his daddy.
”Oralie sounds like a very gorgeous girl.” He said softly, watching as she stood up saying she’d meet him at the station. Dipping his head in a nod he shifted out of the way ”Alright.” As she got in her jeep and left he moved towards his dark red dodge ram after shutting and locking the cabin. Mingo jumped in first and settled down in the passenger seat which caused Alex to snort. ”Oi, impatient brat.” He chided the dog gently before climbing into the truck and heading towards the station with the windows rolled down.
Upon pulling into the police station parking lot he glanced at Mingeto ”Behave in there boy, even if there is another dog inside.” He said threateningly to the dog before pulling into his reserved parking space. Why they had a reserved space for the chief of police in such a small town was beyond him. Shaking his head at the thought he killed the truck after parking and exited, holding the door open for Mingo who jumped out and ran over to Jensen where she was leaning against her jeep. Chuckling he shut his door and followed at a more sedate pace. ”If I didn’t know better I’d swear he loved you more then he does me.” He joked, before nodding towards the station. ”Ready to get this done?” Mingo barked from where he was parked between the two of them. ”I wasn’t asking you.” Alex replied to the bark in amusement.

She really did appreciate what Alex said about Oralie and she grinned up at him, her face full of adoration. Even if they had just met, it felt like she had known him longer, and the fact that he could appreciate her dog even without meeting her was very appeasing to her. "She really is" She murmured quietly, her eyes shining as she talked of Oralie. It was more than just a conversation for her, to be able to talk about Oralie was a way to talk about her brother. And she was thankful she could do that with Alex. When he murmured his consent to her suggestion she simply waved a quick goodbye in response.
And when he arrived at the station she couldn't help but grin as he made his way over, Mingo bounding his way over. Jensen could not help but admit at how attractive Alex was and when Mingo stopped infront of her she reached out a hand to caress the dog. When Alex's rough masculine tones met her ears she couldn't help but grin. "Perhaps I'm just good with dogs" She said to him, straightening so she could be somewhat closer to his hieght and not have to stare up at him from an odd angle. "Sure, I'd love to get this over with" She laughed as Mingo barked and Alex scolded him lightly. Jensen couldn't help but reach out and pet Mingo on the head. "Ah he's just as eager to get this over with as we are" Unpleasant business this was, discussing all this horrible things on such a nice day. Hopefully it wouldn't take long and they could head over to the pub.
Jensen walked inside, a shiver ran over her spine as she felt the change of temperature. She looked over her shoulder at Alex and Mingo as she walked through the door. This was her first time in the police station and she hoped it would be her last. "Well, not a bad place to work" It really wasn't, things were clean and orderly. And from what she saw it didn't look like the staff fought much. Infact most of them came to the pub and drank together when they were off duty. It was a good couple of people that Alex worked with, that she was pretty sure of.

------------------------ Alex chuckled slightly as she commented on his work place, he supposed it wasn’t a really bad place to work. It was nicer inside then other police stations he’d seen and been at. As he lead the way to his desk he glanced behind him at her to make sure she was following. ”Perhaps you are.” He agreed to her earlier statement about being good with dogs. Only after they were in his office and the door shut did he sit down at his desk and began to dig through the papers in one of the draws. It was sort of messy in there, unlike his apartment. A sheepish grin was shot towards her before plucking out the piece he was looking for ”Ah ha.” He murmured placing it on the opposite side of the desk where she’d be when/if she sat down.
Mingo had followed them into the office and was curled up beside the desk, positioned between the two as much as possible. When his owner cried out he glanced over only to see him clutching a piece of paper. Humans. Alex caught sight of Mingos look and rolled his eyes at the dog. Obviously someone was not as enthused that he’d found the right forum. ”I just need you to fill this out. Your name, person your pressing charges against, and a description of what happened.” He finally said addressing Jensen again. ”Along with a few names of witnesses.” He shrugged his shoulder as if to say ‘they require it’.
