How the men had ever gotten the hybrid into the games was beyond her. All she had seen thus far were full-bred dogs. Sesi would have much rather preferred being caught by the dog catchers. She'd heard they just take you to a big cage and leave you there to show off to the humans who might take you home. No one would take her though. All she knew here was that the people poked her with sticks from behind the safety of their thick bars, barely big enough to fit her, or many large dogs for that matter.
Many of the dogs were her own size, and not a single one seemed interested in talking. There was no place to run or hide. All there was when she was released from the cage was a rounded area with tall walls, men shouting and passing around pieces of paper and shaking their fists at the two animals. Her mood was already lower than low, and Sesi snarled at the other animal, a pit bull. The brute did the same, and he held a fierceness about him in his muscles; the way he held himself. Sesi didn't back down, and they both circled each other carefully for a moment.
The pit bull was the first to make a move, and hurrahs came from about half the crowd as he bit into her side. A loud yelp emitted from her, but she drew her fangs forward into his back. He bit down hard, but she bit harder, and he let go to try and bite somewhere else to get her to let go. She threw herself away from the dog, her side burning. They circled again until the pit bull attacked again, but this time Sesi watched his movements and took an opening so that her teeth sank into his throat.
He struggled but Sesi managed to shift his weight and force him to the ground. His legs kicked, but Sesi bit harder. She could taste the blood, and she started biting even harder, wanting more, but her eyes widened as she looked back at the dog's eyes as he spoke, "Please.. d-don't... kill me.." he managed to mutter. She dropped him and backed off. He didn't raise, he just lay there, motionless but still breathing. Sesi kept off her one leg as she watched him, then turned away. The people all around yelled and shouted, a noise that made her uneasy.
Some more people poked her with sticks and she bit at them, growling at the crowd. A man entered the arena, shouting at her and pointing at the dog. She supposed he wanted her to kill him, but she would not. The man got angry and some more men dragged the dog out. Probably to kill him. An animal was practically useless for fighting after that sort of wound. More came in with sticks and some kind of wall to protect themselves with, forcing her back into the cramped cage. She growled at the people around her, side still stinging as she was dragged off as well. Would they kill her? let her go? make her fight again? The hybrid grumbled, then turned to licking the wound clean of blood, ears pasted to the back of her head as she listened to another fight beginning.

Jensen had first heard rumors of the dog fighting ring when at the pub, her interest turned to disgust as she heard more about it. She had pretended, rather unwillingly, to be interested in what was going on so one of the drunks would tell her when these things were happening. And when she found out Jensen wasted no time to climb into her jeep and taking off to that backwood shack that a rather drunk man told her about. She hoped that they hadn't started the fights so she could go in and stop them. She wasn't sure how she was going to, nor how she would get the dogs out and she immediately regretted not calling Alex. After he had helped her take care of the town drunk she had began to trust her Chief of Police that much more. She had even spent more time with him, bringing Oralie over to see Mingo and letting them run through his many acres.
But she had gone alone and she would do this alone. She had left Oralie at the pub, afraid that the two would get seperated and she would end up watching Oralie fight to the death. That was something she would not do and so she didn't bring the dog. Instead she drove up to the shack, the amount of cars disgusting her and she quickly got out and slammed the door shut. She strode into the place and was immediately shocked and disgusted as the metal scent of blood filled her nose and the sounds of shouts and wounded cries met her ears. Anger roiled underneath her skin and she pushed and shoved her way through till she was at the edge of the ring. A gasp escaped her as she watched the two dogs fighting. A scream of rage escaped her and she clambered over the wall, oblivious of the danger.
Shouts and boos caught her but she ignored them as she reached for the scruff of one dog, thier snapping maws too busy to try and get into fur to bite her. "One of you disgusting pigs get in here and help me!" She screamed out, her lithe figure pulling one beaten dog away from the other. "How can you live with yourselves!" Some man got in and helped her drag the two dogs apart. She spotted one dog that looked far worse than the others, she figured that this was only the second fight of the night. What are you doing lady!? Get atta there! Her head whipped around and she found herself staring at the town drunk. His face paled as he spotted her, not yet over the whole charge against her. Her heart pounded in her chest as she wondered, would he attack her again?
"Back off Brigot, before I get Chief Duff down here" Her threat was met with another shade paler and he immediately complied. The ring had become quiet when she uttered that threat and she spun around, glaring at whomever caught her gaze. "If you all aren't out of here in five minutes, I'm calling the cops and I can gaurantee that all of you will be paying some hefty fines" It was all she could do at the moment, with no way of keeping them there while the cops did come there wouldn't be a fighting ring when the cops showed up. Her words sparked a flurry of activity and she swore that in less than five minutes the whole shack had been cleared out. She sighed as owners came to claim the wounded fighting dogs until only one was left. A wolfdog by the looks of it. Jensen kneeled down by the cage, softly holding her hand out to her. "It's okay buddy, I'll get you out of here and all better real soon" She murmured soothingly, her voice soft and her hand far enough away that the dog would have to stretch out to sniff at it, it would give her enough time if she thought that the dog was going to snap.

Sesi had given up on trying to keep the wound clean. The stench of death and blood was starting to get to her - it smelled like a fresh kill, and it was making her hungry, almost to the point of sickness. Her fangs bared as more people poked at her, and she snapped at them and the sticks. When she missed there was a loud snap as her fangs hit each other. And the wound. It hurt. A lot. She was beginning to pant. Still, she stood, scrambling back and forth to snap confusedly at the men, growling like a true wild animal. That was the way they wanted it it seemed.
The wolfdog kept circling, trying to watch herself on all sides. More shouting, but she could no longer hear the other two dogs fighting. Had someone broken it up? It sounded like it. No more yelping, though the fangs continued to snap. They must have just been separated but could still see each other. Ears still against her head, Sesi watched the people around her. They seemed to be focusing on something else - something in the arena that wasn't actually fighting. It didn't bother Sesi though - they had stopped poking at her to get her ready for her next fight. She gnawed on one of the bars to try to escape, but it was no use. It hurt her teeth too much.
She heard one person talking, shouting, but when they were finished everyone scrambled out the door. Sesi shifted around more, even with how much blood stained her mostly-white coat. She snarled at some as they passed. When they all left, it was quiet except for one last person. Sesi still growled as she approached, pushing herself into the furthest spot from them. Sesi recognized the voice, but that didn't calm her too much. The wolfdog growled at the woman as she approached, showing no current interest in her offering hand.

Jensen watched as the dog scrunched herself into the corner and she couldn't help but sigh. Withdrawing her hand as the dog growled Jensen sat back on her heels and for a moment just looked at her. And then she cast her gaze elsewhere, simply sitting there competely still as so not to startle the dog. Her eyes closed and she started to softly hum a toon, being careful not to make any sudden movements or loud noises as to startle the poor creature. She hoped that the dog would warm up to her soon so she could get the animal to the vet, and to some help. She pictured Oralie in her mind, running around thier spacious yard while she sat there humming the same tune she was now. It was a peaceful image and she had a smile on her face when she reopened her eyes, expecting to see the dog cowering in the corner. Instead a swiftly approaching piece of wood caught her vision and made her cry out as it struck her temple.
She fell backwards, her head banging on the hard floor and the breath knocked out of her lungs. Coughing she tried to sit up, her eyes wild and searching for her attacker. And then she saw him and fear boiled through her veins. Last time you get in my way bitch! He cried out as he swung again, her arm going up to block the piece of wood and again her cry of pain rose up. She scooted away as fast as she could to get away from the man. "Brigot! Stop this, what are you doing!" She gritted her teeth as the wood slammed down next to her, the man grunting as he continued his assualt on her. Suddenly Jensen wished she had brought her dog Oralie, atleast she would have been able to have someone who could protect her.
Oralie wouldn't have ever let someone hit her and she was certain that if the black and white dog would force this man to keep him away. Jensen's face paled more than it already was and she gazed up in fear at the man. Would she even make it out alive?

Sesi continued to growl. Really, the only reason she did was because she didn't know what else to do. The cage seemed to still be locked, and the woman was too close for her to feel safe to just dart out of it anyway. She knew she couldn't back away any more. The wolfdog settled more when the woman drew her hand back, but her guard was still up. The growl muffled some, filling up the quietness a little less. It was an amazing feat actually; clearing out all the gamblers and their dogs in minutes.
Sesi was tense, and she was starting to get tired of it. She barely even gave herself a moment to pant. She was afraid, in a cage, and there was still a human there. She'd never seen them before, but she looked, well, different. Different from the other people that had been around. She wasn't carrying a cup of disgusting-smelling liquid, passing around pieces of paper, or shouting at her. When the woman quieted for a moment, Sesi did too. Her muscles relaxed a little, just too tired to really stay so tense for much longer. As she did though, they returned to the former stance, but eased again at the humming. She laid down, still fully attentive, but relaxed. Her ears perked slightly, even though they flipped forward and back now and then. It was relaxing, but she didn't lower her guard too much. All her attention was on the woman, and she didn't even notice the man coming in.
He smelled terrible. Like blood and whatever it was most of the gamblers had been drinking. He smelled like the air did in the building; she didn't. He had ruined the only moment of peace she'd had in a few days, what with being captured and not eaten during that time. Sesi's fangs flashed again, hair raising and everything. It took her only a moment to blow through the cage door, and a fraction of a second later her fangs met the man's arm, cutting deep into it, furred body crashing into him. The man went crashing to the floor, and a maddened wolf hybrid went with him, still holding on to his arm as tightly as doggedly possible.
